Overview

Jilin City is located on the Songnen Plain at the end of the Changbai Mountain Range, the east of the central Jilin Province. With the topography that is high in the southeast and low in the northwest, the Songhua River goes through the whole province. Bordering with Yanbian Korea Nationality Autonomous Region to the east, Changchun, Siping City to the west, Bai Mountain, Tonghua, Liaoyuan City to the south, and Heilongjiang Province to the north, Jilin City has a population of more than 4 million and an area of 27894 square km.
