Changxing Overview
Changxing County is in Zhejiang Province. It has a total area of 1,430 square km and a population of 620,000 inhabitants.
Changxing, established in the third year of Taikang's reign (Jin wu di) (282 AD) in the Jin Dynasty, has an extensive history of over 1,700 years. It has rich resources and long cultrual heritage, and cherishes its fame as “the realm of fish and rice”, “the home of silk”, “the land of culture”, and “the distinguished county in the southeast”.
Changxing County is located in the center of the Yangtze Delta, China; on the southwest bank of Taihu Lake, bordering Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Anhui.
Changxing has great advantages in its location, around which are 52 large and medium cities including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Ningbo, Wuhu, etc. and 73 million inhabitants, which forms a great economic zone.
Changxing is the transport center of the Yangtze Delta.
