Nanchang is the capital of Jiangxi Province and has been the seat of prefectures, states, provinces in the history ever since the city was founded 2200 years ago. Here, historical sites and scenic spots mingle in complete harmony. Here, rivers crisscross, and four man-made lakes, East, West, South and North, spread like four mirrors studded over the downtown area.
Location: Nanchang is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, on the southwest coast of Poyang Lake, and is the only provincial capital that neighbors the Yangtze Delta, the Pearl River Delta and the Southeast Fujian Economic Zone at the same time, with Jiujiang in the north, Shangrao in the east, Fuzhou in the south and Yichun in the west.
