Chengdu, as one of the first 24 famous historical and cultural cities in China ratified by the State Council, is the the provincial capital of sichuan, and center of technology, trade and finance, the hub of transportations and communications in Southwest China.
Chengdu, which has a history of 2300 years and a population of 10 million, is one of the famous historical and cultural cities in China, and enjoys the reputation of “the Land of Abundance” for located in the west Sichuan plain. Well known precious and enchanted giant pandas, the long-standing Shu Civilization and special folk custom in Chengdu are all the gifts of these abundant fertilized grounds.
Besides, there are abundant world heritages and landscapes around Chengdu, such as Jiuzhaigou Valley and Huanglong in the north, Mt. Emei and Leshan Grand Buddha in the south, the Yangtze Gorges in the east and mysterious Tibet in the west. The unrivalled Dujiangyan Water Project, the well-known Temple of Marquis Wu and Dufu's Thatched Cottage and the Sanxingdui Ruins of the ancient Shu Kingdom all give the tourists unique experiences.
